Magician Toowoomba

A magician for Toowoomba and the Darling Downs

Looking to hire a magician in Toowoomba? Jason Gray is based on the Gold Coast and travels to Toowoomba and the Darling Downs for events, so you get the same performer who has worked corporate functions and weddings across South East Queensland, without having to settle for whoever happens to be closest.

As seen on Australia’s Got Talent, with more than 200 five-star Google reviews and more than 1000 events performed over more than ten years, Jason brings polished close up, roving and stage magic to the Garden City and the country around it. Brands including BMW, Toyota, Red Bull, Qantas and Commonwealth Bank have booked him, and the same act works just as well at a family wedding as it does at a client dinner.

Events Jason performs at in Toowoomba

• Wedding magician Toowoomba. Garden and country-style weddings are made for a cocktail hour of close up magic, while guests wait for photos or the move into the reception. See wedding magic and the wedding magician cost guide.
• Corporate magician Toowoomba. Conferences, client dinners, product launches and networking nights. Roving magic fills the arrivals and breaks without interrupting speeches or presentations. See corporate magic.
• Milestone parties. A 40th at home, a 50th on the property or an engagement party for both families. No stage, sound system or special set-up is needed. See birthday magic and engagement magic.
• Christmas parties. Work functions and community events at the end of the year, when the date book fills early. See Christmas party magic.

Close up magic suits regional venues

The best thing about close up and roving magic is that it goes to your guests. There is no stage to build and nothing to plug in, so it suits a function hall, a restaurant, a winery-style venue, a marquee on a property or your own backyard equally well.

If your event is seated, Jason can work table to table between courses, or finish with a short stage show when you want one moment for the whole room. The material is written for an adult audience, so it is witty and quick without being a children’s act.

How travel to Toowoomba works

Jason travels from the Gold Coast, and travel is quoted with your booking, so you see the full figure up front. Send your venue or suburb with your date and he will confirm it in your written quote.

Because he is travelling, early enquiries help. If you are planning a peak wedding date or a Christmas function in Toowoomba or the Darling Downs, ask as soon as you have a date so it can be locked in.

Areas Jason covers around Toowoomba

Toowoomba city, Highfields, Crows Nest and Warwick, plus the wider Darling Downs. If your venue is close to those, just ask.

What to send with your Toowoomba enquiry

A few details let Jason recommend the right format and confirm travel without a string of follow-up questions:

• The date and start time, so availability can be checked straight away.
• The venue or suburb, and whether it is a venue, a marquee or a private property, plus any access details.
• Guest numbers and the mix: family, friends, colleagues or all three.
• The timeline: arrivals, food, speeches and entertainment, so the magic fits the gaps.
• A wet-weather plan if you are outdoors, which is worth having for any country event.

Booking a magician in Toowoomba

Price depends on the length of the booking, the type of event, the date and travel. The cost guides for the Gold Coast, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast explain what affects a quote, and the same factors apply here. For the whole process, see how to hire a magician.

For most events, four to eight weeks ahead is comfortable. Peak wedding dates and Christmas and EOFY parties book out much earlier. The guide on how far in advance to book a magician has realistic timelines.
